Excellent

"The staff here are excellent. The way they explain the procedures and next steps in all of my dental work is always so thorough and I never leave confused as to what to do next. Entertainment is offered while you are visiting, which is always appreciated. Cannot recommend this dental office more."

Dr. Choi

Jane Choi, DDS

Background & Education

Dr. Choi is an East Coast transplant who spent her early years moving between Seoul, Maryland, Tokyo, and North Carolina. She actually got her start in forensic dentistry, studying skeletal remains as an anthropology undergrad, but decided that she’d much rather interact with living people. She went on to earn her dental doctorate with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, followed by post-graduate training at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach.

To share her passion and knowledge in dentistry, Dr. Choi taught as an instructor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.  She continues to stay at the cutting edge of dentistry through continuing education, taking over 100 hours of advanced training each year. She has completed the UCSF Dental Sleep Medicine residency for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliances, a Mastership in Biomimetic Dentistry to provide patients with ethical, long-lasting and conservative restorations, and is a graduate of the Kois Center for advanced training in jaw function and facially-driven aesthetics.

Serving & Surgery

Through the years, Dr. Choi has filled her passport with dental mission trips to Guatemala and Honduras, and expanded her surgical and interdisciplinary training through hospital externships in Brazil and South Africa.

Home Life

Outside the office, Dr. Choi and her husband are usually chasing their two kids around San Francisco on a mission to find the city's best playgrounds (and great coffee along the way) and squeezing in hikes along the California coast whenever they can.
